Spirulina is a blue-green microalgae that billions of years ago helped to produce oxygen. It is so nutrient-dense that you could survive on water and Spirulina alone. It contains complete proteins as well as GLA (gamma-linolenic acid), linoleic acid, arachidonic acid (omega 3 & 6), chlorophyll & phycocyanin (treatment for liver cancer).

Spirulina is easy to digest, increases mineral absorption, supports the immune system and decreases cholesterol (LDL).

Spirulina increases energy, vitality and life span. This nutrient dense superfood helps the body cleanse and heal. It also fights cancer and some viruses including AIDS. It helps to support your heart health, treats arthritis, osteoporosis, diabetes and depression. It also helps repair nerve damage so is helpful in treating fibromyalgia. Spirulina also increases Vitamin A stores. Vitamin A is a powerful antioxidant, and treats skin, eye, mucous membranes, tooth and bone problems.

The list goes on…  Spirulina also removes free radicals, slows appetite, increases weight loss, improves digestion, slows down the aging process, increases red and white blood cells and makes friendly bacteria.

There is evidence that supports the fact that Spirulina improves respiration, heightens exercise results and decreases allergens and hypoglycemia.

Last, but not least, Spirulina protects against radiation.

One great way to get spirulina is by taking the powder in a shake or smoothie each morning.  Start with a small amount and gradually increase your intake.  Enjoy!
